Office for Nursing Research

Coming Soon

Designed to facilitate scientific risk taking, the new Husky Nurse Digital Health Innovation Lab aims to improve human health across the UW SoNs with a focus on disease prevention, health equity through the lifespan, and caregiving for those with illness. The Innovation Lab will streamline digital health and technology through partnership with SoN Principal Investigators and UW divisions, such as CoMotion, the College of Engineering, the Global Innovation Exchange, and the Foster School of Business Hollomon Health Innovation Challenge.

The Innovation Lab will:

• Generate a sandbox to let people develop/prototype their innovations (e.g., widgets or health care operations innovations), test and refine them
• Identify scientific leads and help execute projects as data/technology project requests arise
• Facilitate initiation of patent/licensure certification (with CoMotion)
• Offer supportive space for idea generation to create and execute new bold ideas
• Maintain an updated list of soft and hardware developers in the Master Services Agreement and facilitate quick contract review
• Facilitate an innovation book/journal club
• Follow up with all Dawg Tank finalists
